RAJOURI, Sept 19: One person was killed while another injured in a car accident in Khwas area of district Rajouri today.
Reports said an Alto car met with a road accident in Keri Panjanada area of Khwas tehsil of Kotranka sub division of Rajouri district on Thursday, in which a 30-year-old youth died while another youth was seriously injured.
The police said driver of an Alto car, coming from Khwas towards Keri Panjanada lost his balance at a turn on the way and the car fell into a nearly 200 ft deep gorge from the road. Two youths were seriously injured in this road accident.
Local people shifted both the injured to the government hospital of Khwas where the doctor declared 30-year-old Mohammad Shakeel, son of Mohammad Latif as brought dead, while another youth- Shaukat Ali was sent to the government hospital of Kalakot for better treatment after giving him first- aid and from Kalakot to GMC Rajouri.
The police took cognizance of the matter and after conducting the post-mortem of the dead body of youth and completing other legal formalities, handed over the body to the family.
