JAMMU, Jan 23: Bishnah and Gharota Police arrested four absconders, who were evading their arrest since long.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Bishnah led by SHO Inspector Tahir Yousuf under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan arrested three absconder, who were at large since long.
The arrested absconders were identified as Abdul Rashid, son of Chirag Din, Nadeem Khan, son of Abdul Rashid and Mushtaq Ahmed, son of Abdul Rashid, all residents of Phinder.
They were wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 36/2007 under Section 341, 323 and 34 RPC with Police Station Bishnah. Arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC also stands issued against them at JMIC Bishnah on February 17, 2013.
Meanwhile, on reliable information, a team from Police Station Gharota led by SHO Inspector Mahesh Sharma conducted raid and apprehended an absconder from Budhal area of District Rajouri, who was at large since 2006.
The arrested person has been identified as Amjad Khan, son of Farooq Mohammad, a resident of Raj Nagar, Budhal District Rajouri.
The accused was earlier involved in militant related activities in Budhal area of District Rajouri and case also stands registered against him at Police Station Budhal. Presently he was a religious teacher (Imam) in a local mosque at Budhal in district Rajouri, when police caught him.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 70/2016 under Sections 336, 332, 147, 148 RPC and 4/25 Arms Act with Police Station Gharota.
Further investigation into the cases is going on.
