‘Waxing or waning moon’

Myriad blessings I do count,
Although troubles continue to mount,
Hopes persist even in tear stained eyes;
Much is to be awaited, no regrets, no lies.
Longing for peace and happiness, even in woes,
Innocent my heart is, empathy it shows,
No matter the skies are grey,
I won’t stop doing pray.
Life is the name of ebbs and flows,
Often I think about..when the wind blows,
No time to explore curse or boon,
Perpetual my happiness,
No waxing or waning moon.

  Born Different

They laugh as you aren’t the same!
They laugh as you don’t fit in the picture.
You feel like a different bird in the same flock,
Trying to fit fit in but turn up into a laughing stock
Lost control of your life like a rashly driven car,
Time is supposed to heal, but it only left an ugly scar!
A holocaust from life, it seems,
Or an exodus from society and those sweet-fairy dreams.
Being an atheist, there is nobody to blame,
Not even God for not creating me the same!

      Head of the family

She wanted to know, how true it was
But got encouraged, that this too shall pass
The people to her were very dear
But she needed to draw a line, for which she was pretty clear
The sounds of music were very loud
In her own environment and people, she felt like a crowd
When things became tough, she has to become rough
She will definitely give a try and will not grieve and cry
Ultimately she is the family’s strength
And therefore for family’s protection can go to any length

It’s time…

It’s time to reassess
What’s important,
And what is not,
And to end the negative self-take
It’s time to genuinely examine,
Where you’re wrong,
And for being wrong,
To be okay
It’s time to do what you want to do,
Not what others think you should do,
Or what you think others
Might accept
It’s time to take off the mask,
And let the music play,
Loud and uncensored
Go see the world you’ve been hiding from,
Go make a mistake or two,
Don’t obsess over what is done, or what’s to come,
Learn to love the imperfect you.
