JAMMU, Mar 23: The ‘Har Ki Pauri’ temple built on the bank of Tawi River here is being affected by the illegal mining.
This was stated by Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K Unit chief, Manish Sahni during a media briefing here today.
He said that the mining mafia should refrain from this illegal activity.
“A team of Shiv Sena led by me visited Har Ki Pauri temple and noted that flow of the water in Tawi River has been affected by the illegal mining,” the Shiv Sena leader said.
Sahni informed that Mahant of the temple, Mahadev Saraswati was resentful against the illegal mining near the temple and he spends Rs. 25,000 per month to divert the flow of water towards the temple with the help of JCB.
He informed that condition of the road leading to Har Ki Pauri temple was also very pathetic.
“It is also a matter of concern that only a few security personnel were deployed for the security of the temple located at the outskirts of the city,” the Shiv Sena leader said.
