KAHALGAON, Apr 6 : Kahalgaon super thermal power station of NTPC produced 16555.02 Million Units (MU) of power in fiscal 2023-24, surpassing surpassing all previous records.
Chief General Manager of Kahalgaon station, Ajay Sharma, said on Saturday that in last financial year, coal based power station of 2340 MW capacity, produced 16555.02 Million Units (MU) of power with 80.54 percent Plant Load Factor (PLF) and assistance of four units of 210 MW and three units of 500 MW. It was a record production in just concluded financial year, he added.
Sharma said that Kahalgaon super thermal power station was tenth in all units of NTPC in power generation and first in eastern region of the country.
Kahalgaon had also set records in minimising all related parameters of power generation, like DC Heat Rate, Oil Consumption, DM Water Consumption, he informed.
Chief General Manager said that Kahalgaon station registered record power generation due to hard labour done by all its employees and officials.
All efforts would be made with renewed vigour to achieve the new targets in the next financial year, he stated. ( UNI)
