ANANTNAG, Apr 20: The process of scrutinizing the nomination papers of candidates for Anantnag-Rajouri Parliamentary constituency concluded today by the Returning Officer Syeed Fakhrudin Hamid, here.

During scrutiny, the nomination papers of four candidates were found deficient as per the extant guidelines of the Election Commission. Consequently, their nominations were rejected, leaving a total of 21 candidates in the fray.
The candidates can, however, withdraw their candidatures till 3.00 pm on April 22.
