DINANAGAR (PUNJAB) May 11: Senior Jammu and Kashmir BJP leader Devender Singh Rana today said that the statement of the former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Poonch terror ambush on IAF convoy, reflects the ideology of the Congress which can sacrifice the Nation’s interest and even compromise its integrity and sovereignty for personal political gains.
Addressing a series of public rallies in Dinanagar Assembly constituency alongwith Dinesh Singh Babbu, party candidate from Gurdaspur Parliamentary Constituency, Rajiv Jasrotia, former Minister, Bharat Bhushan DDC Chairman Jammu, Renu Kashyap former MLA Dinanagar and DDC Vice Chairman Jammu Suraj Singh, Rana said such statements reflect the mind-set of the Congress and its leadership and we strongly condemn any attempt to politicize or trivialize matters of national security.
Rana said people now can very well see through the political opportunism of the Congress, who in desperation to grab power, raking up sentimental issues, for them the self is first and Nation nowhere, he added.
He said such incidents demand unity and solidarity from all political parties, rather than divisive rhetoric that only serves to undermine the nation’s resolve against terrorism.
Rana said it is regrettable that instead of standing in solidarity with the victim and their families, certain individuals choose to engage in political mudslinging. The BJP leader asked Channi and the Congress leadership to reflect on the gravity of their statements and offer an unconditional apology to the nation, he added.
He said the Nation has decided to punish INDI Alliance for its regressive and negative politics by mandating Narendra Modi as Prime Minister for the third consecutive time with over 400 seats to NDA. He said with a resounding mandate from the electorate, Prime Minister Modi will be embarking on a new chapter of transformative governance, dedicated to realizing the aspirations and dreams of every Indian citizen as per his vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’.
Rana said India’s economy was in 11th position from 2004 till 2014. After this, PM Modi took over the charge and under his leadership, India’s economy jumped from 11th position to fifth position. And there is a prediction that India will be among the top three economies in the world in the coming years, he added.
Rana referred to the fast pace of infrastructure development across the nation, saying under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership the BJP is committed to enhancing connectivity, modernizing transportation networks, and bolstering urban and rural infrastructure. Mega projects aimed at improving connectivity, such as highways, railways, airports, and digital infrastructure have got new wings to propel India into a new era of progress and development, he added.
