BARI BRAHMANA, June 29: The election of Bari Brahamana Industrial Association (BBIA) for the term 2024-26 was held today at BBIA Bhawan under the supervision of Election Commissioners Ajay Bansal, Yogesh Badyal, and Yogesh Aggarwal.
As per a statement, Lalit Mahajan was elected unopposed as President of BBIA, and Viraaj Malhotra was elected unopposed as General Secretary of BBIA.
In a contested race, Tarun Singla was elected as Senior Vice President with 137 votes, defeating Nitin Sood who scored 79 votes, with 2 votes invalid.
Ajay Langer won the position of Vice President with 139 votes, defeating PL Raina who received 76 votes, with 3 votes invalid.
Rajesh Jain was elected as Secretary with 119 votes, defeating Shiv Kumar Sharma who scored 98 votes, with 1 vote invalid.
Rishi Kant Gupta secured the position of Treasurer with 115 votes, defeating Vivek Singhal who received 100 votes, with 3 votes invalid.
A total of 218 out of 224 votes were cast in the election.
