KATRA, July 17: In a collision between two cars near Katra, a woman died and six other persons were injured, four of them seriously, here today.
The collision took place between the cars with registration numbers JK02CU- 8234 and JK20B- 5909 at Moori, near Katra, resulting in on the spot death of one lady and injuries to six other persons.
The deceased has been identified as Anita Devi (45), wife of Ram Lal, a resident of Marhi Reasi. Four of the injured in the same car were taken to CHC Katra for treatment.
They have been identified as: Ram Lal (50 years), son of Mangal Dass, resident of Marhi Reasi; Pushpa Devi (50 years ), wife of Munshi Ram, resident of Vijaypur Reasi; Kamal (28 years) wife of Mahinder, resident of Chandigarh, Lilo Devi (50 years), wife of Gian Chand, resident of Reasi. Kamal and Lilo Devi were later referred to GMC Hospital Jammu for advanced treatment.
The other two injured, who were travelling in the other car, were shifted to Narayana Hospital and have been identified as; Pankaj Sharma, and Ishan Gupta, both resident of Jammu.
