RAJOURI, July 28: The MBBS interns at GMC Rajouri today held a peaceful protest demonstration projecting the demand of increase in the internship stipend.
These doctors held the protest demonstrations in the premises of Government Medical College Rajouri, wherein they said that in all other States and Union Territories of the country, the stipend for internship is higher as compared to the paid amount in Jammu and Kashmir.
They added that the matter has time and again been taken up with Jammu and Kashmir Government for hike in the amount but only false assurances were given.
“We are on a peaceful protest in our health institution and demand hike in the stipend paid for internship after completion of MBBS course.” the doctors said.
After holding peaceful demonstration for about an hour they dispersed.
