JAMMU, Aug 5: On elevation as National general secretary of Guru Ravidass Vishwa Mahapeeth, Balbir Ram Rattan has asked a group of prominent representatives of different non-political organisations to spread the message of their Gurus.
Rattan was talking to a deputation comprising Gulshan Bhagat, National chairman, Rashtriya Yuva Bhagat Meghwal Sangathan; Adarsh Jathiar, Executive Member, Guru Ravidass Sabha, Upper Gummat, Jammu; Rakesh Dev, Executive Member, Guru Nabha Dass Mandir Committee, Kathua and Hans Raj Loria, Executive Member, Jammu Kashmir Balwal Welfare Association, which felicitated him on being assigned the new task in Guru Ravidass Vishwa Mahapeeth at national level.
Rattan said that there are different communities and Biradaris in the society and each one of them have large number of people who follow their Gurus.
“Every Guru has worked for peace, brotherhood and social equality with no space for any kind of discrimination based on caste or faith,” he maintained adding: “Each one of us should take it as our duty to contribute in spreading the message of our Gurus, who devoted their entire lives for the society.”
Rattan also discussed with deputation the mission of Guru Ravidass Vishwa Mahapeeth to strengthen Sanatan Culture.
