The Congress NC candidate has been engaging with residents across various areas, listening to their concerns, and outlining his vision for the future. His message of restoring Statehood has resonated with many, as he pledges to bring back democracy to Jammu and Kashmir.
Congress leader led a massive nomination rally on Wednesday, demonstrating the overwhelming backing he has received from the people of Jammu East. Large crowd gathered to show their support as he filed his nomination papers, marking a significant moment in his campaign.
“The people of Jammu East have shown unwavering trust, and I am committed to working for their betterment,” Sawhney stated during the rally.
In his public addresses, Sawhney was critical of the ruling BJP, accusing the party of failing to deliver on its promises. “The BJP has failed miserably in restoring democracy in Jammu and Kashmir. They have stripped the people of their rights, and it is time for a change. Congress, in alliance with the NC, aims to restore what was unjustly taken away,” he added.

We are fighting to give the people of Jammu their voice back and Congress is committed to achieving this goal,” he asserted.
