REASI, Sept 20: Authorities today ordered suspension of five teachers and a Flock Supervisor of the Sheep Husbandry Department (SHD) in connection with alleged negligence in joining the election duties and violation of Model Code of Conduct (MCC).
As per an order issued by the District Election Officer Reasi, teachers Mohammad Ashraf posted at Primary School Dada Gala, Gian Chand posted at Primary School Dasanoo, Gulam Ahmed posted at Primary School Malikpura, Mohammad Nazir posted at High School Sujandhar, and Mohammad Iqbal posted at Middle School Upper Tukson were suspended for not joining the election related duties at Gulabgarh and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Assembly constituencies.

The order further said that the attached teachers shall remain attached in the office of the Chief Education Officer, Reasi during their suspension period.
Further, Kulbhushan Khajuria, Additional Deputy Commissioner Reasi, has been asked to conduct an inquiry into the matter and submit a report within seven days.
Meanwhile, a Flock Supervisor of the Sheep Husbandry Department, Roshan Din, has been suspended by Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Mahore for allegedly violating the Model Code of Conduct.
The SHD official allegedly canvassed in favour of a particular party’s candidate during the evening hours in Village Sarh Bagga.
Roshan Din, the suspended official, has also been attached in the office of Assistant Returning Officer Gulabgarh during his suspension period.
Further, Tehsildar Chassana/ Nodal Officer MCC Gulabgarh has been asked to conduct an inquiry into the matter and submit his report within 5 days.
