JAMMU, Sept 28: Dr. M.R Attri, Professor of Surgery in Department of General and Minimal Access Surgery, GMC Srinagar attended annual National Conference of Hernia Surgeons at Indore, Madhya Pradesh organised by Hernia Society of India (HSI) which is the largest body of Hernia surgeons in the country.
Prof. Attri is Executive member of HSI from North India and has vast experience of Laparoscopic repair of various types of Hernias.
He demonstrated live surgery of Bilateral laparoscopic Inguinal Hernia by repair by E-Tep Technique at Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences, Mohak Superspeciality and IRCAD Center Indore showcasing his skills and techniques at the national event.
Prof. Attri was accompanied by Dr. Irfan Nazir Mir, Assistant Professor in Surgery Department of GMC Srinagar. Dr. Mir presented his experience on videos of intra-operative difficulties during laparoscopic hernia surgery and the ways to tackle these difficulties.
Apart from that FNB scholar in laparoscopic surgery, Dr. Razia presented paper on advanced laparoscopy. Other Post Graduate students Dr. Beera Krishna and Dr. Shahzaib also showcased the work done in laparoscopic hernia surgery at GMC Srinagar.
