JAMMU, Sept 29: The Post Graduate Department of Community Medicine, GMC Jammu, conducted a two-day 12th Annual National Conference of Consortium against Rabies (CARCON 24), which concluded today.
The event saw the participation of over 200 delegates which included public health specialist, physicians, paediatrician and veterinarians. The eminent speakers for academic and scientific programs on the 2nd day included Ayesha Christina Benn, Dr Vinod Sharma, Dr Harjeet Rai, Namrata Hakhoo and faculty from the Department of Community Medicine who included Dr Kiran Bala, Dr Bhavna Langer, Dr Rashmi Kumari, Dr Richa Mahajan and Dr Kamna Singh.
It was followed by poster presentations, in which about 20 presentations were done. Conference concluded with valedictory, wherein prizes were distributed for oral as well as poster presentations to the winners in their respective categories.
Vote of thanks was presented by Dr Rajiv K Gupta. He expressed his gratitude to Principal GMC Jammu, the delegates and the organising committee. He also extended special thanks to the president CAR Dr Rajnish Kumar and Secretary Dr Anurag Aggarwal.
CARCON- 24 was well supported by Jammu and Kashmir Bank and National Health Mission (NHM) UT of J&K.
