KISHTWAR, Sept 30: The Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Rajesh Kumar Shavan, conducted maiden to the District Hospital Kishtwar to evaluate its functioning and the quality of healthcare services provided to patients.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner inspected various sections and wards, including the OPD, Labour Section, laboratories, X-Ray, and ECG sections etc. He interacted with patients and their attendants to gather feedback about the medical care being provided.
Emphasizing the importance of punctuality, R K Shavan exhorted upon the doctors and staff to be diligent in meeting patient needs.
On cleanliness, he directed ward Incharges to adhere to proper waste disposal protocols and maintain high standards of hygiene. He said that special attention should be paid on the cleanliness and hygiene in and around the hospital.
Regarding a request from hospital authorities for the steel trussing of the Eye Block, the Deputy Commissioner ordered the concerned Executive Engineer PWD to immediately take up the project.
Furthermore, he instructed the Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Kishtwar to assess the infrastructure needs of the hospital to facilitate necessary improvements by the district administration. The DC also instructed the MS District Hospital to ensure the functioning of lift system in the hospital building for the convience of patients.
Later, the DC also visited the Drugs De-addiction Facilitation Centre, assessing the progress in the rehabilitation of drug addicts and the treatments being provided.
During the inspection, CPO Kishtwar Shahnawaz Bali, MS District Hospital Kishtwar Dr. Yudhveer Singh Kotwal, officers and officials of DC Office accompanied him.
