DCC, Patel Cricket Club script wins

JAMMU, June 24: Dream Cricket Club and Patel Cricket Club registered convincing victories over their rivals in the ongoing KC Sports Club Cricket Cup 2017, being played on newly laid turf at KC Public School ground, here.
The Tournament is being organized by KC Sports Club, under the overall supervision of Arjun Chowdhary and the matches are being supervised by organizing secretary, Sanjeev Sharma.
Earlier, in the first match played today, Dream Cricket Club defeated Provin Cricket Club by 24 runs.
Dream Cricket Club won the toss and decided to bat first to score a modest total of 126 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Vishal and Anchal made 32 and 26 runs respectively.
For Provin Cricket Club, Rajesh and Jugnu took 2 wickets each.
In reply, Provin Cricket Club managed to score 102 runs, thus lost the match by 24 runs. Suman and Varun contributed 32 and 18 runs respectively. From Dream Cricket Club, Sawan took 4 wickets, while Vicky bagged 2 wickets.
In another match, Patel Cricket Club registered thrilling victory over Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor by a narrow margin of 5 runs.
Patel Cricket Club skipper Sachin Singh won the toss and decided to bat first.
Batting first, Patel Cricket Club scored a decent total of 150 runs. Abdul Samad was the top scorer with 55 runs, while Abhinav  Puri contributed 36 runs to the total. Rhytham and Pranav Gupta also scored 29 and 18 runs to the total respectively.
From Singh Cricket Club, Vinay and Sunny took 1 wicket each.
While chasing the target, Singh CC fell short of 5 runs as the team managed to score 145 runs in 20 overs. Sunny Mahi was the top scorer with brilliant 52 runs, while Sonu Manhas contributed 40 runs.  Nadeem also chipped in with 15 runs to the total. From Patel Cricket Club, Ankush took 3 wickets, while Tribuvan, Tayyab and Gourav shared 2 wickets each. Patel Cricket Club won the match by 5 runs. Abdul Samad was adjudged as the man of the match.
The matches were officiated by Madan Lal, Vinod Kandayara and Sandeep Manchanda.
