JAMMU, July 7: A 22-year-old youth today made an abortive attempt on his life by hanging himself at his residence in RS Pura area of city outskirts.
“Sandeep Kumar son of Mohinder Pal, resident of Ward No 5, RS Pura, tried to end his life by hanging himself with the ceiling fan at his home but was saved by the family members by timely detection”, a police official said, adding, he was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment.
He said concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter and investigating what made the youth to take such an extreme step.
