JAMMU, Mar 18: Akhil Bhartiya Safai Mazdoor Sangh (ABSMS) today highlighted their demands and warned the administration to fulfill them at the earliest and not to force the Safai Karamcharis to opt the path of agitation.
Addressing a press conference at Town Hall, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), State general secretary of ABSMS, Amar Mooman stressed upon the Governor administration to immediately fill up 600 vacancies of Safai Karamcharis to ease the load on already burdened Safai Karamcharis. He also emphasized for clearance of pending arrears of Safai Karamcharis for the year 2005, 2008, 2010 onwards.
Mooman demanded merger of 2 and half days salary with monthly salary and clearance of pending 2 and half days salaries. He also demanded enquiry regarding changing of contract basis employees without any reason time to time. “Vigilance enquiry should be done into why the administration fired contract employee without any notice or reason and appointed other persons,” he added.
The ABSMS general secretary also sought information regarding welfare funds of Safai Karamcharis from the year 2018-2019 and list of persons whom welfare fund have been given till date. He alleged that they have been seeking this information for last 2 years but in vain.
Mooman warned the administration to fulfill the demands of the Safai Karamcharis at the earliest otherwise they will have no option other than resorting to strike.
