Samba records highest poll percentage in first two hours

JAMMU: Samba district, in the first two hours of polling, recorded highest poll percentage in all the four districts undergoing polling for Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency in the first phase of Lok Sabha elections on Thursday.
However, overall poll percentage in the state so far was 11.43 per cent.
In Samba district, 16.52 per cent votes were polled up to 0900 hours followed by Jammu with 14.12 per cent, Poonch with 12.98 per cent and Rajouri with 11.88 per cent.
In the Kashmir’s Baramulla Parliamentary Constituency, overall polling percentage was low
Kupwara recorded highest 7.98 per cent, Bandits 5.97 per cent and Baramulla 5.80 per cent.
Meanwhile, migrants poll percentage was 10.24 per cent.
