JAMMU, Dec 28: Power Distribution Corporation Ltd today disconnected electric connections of defaulting consumers in Gandhi Nagar and other areas and also recovered outstanding arrears of more than Rs 19.7 lakhs.
Under the supervision of X-En Electric Division-II, the team of Electric Sub-Division-1, headed by AEE and comprising AE, Feeder Managers and other Field staff, conducted inspection in different section of Electric Sub-Division-I, Gandhi Nagar Jammu of PDCL. The team disconnected 54 number of electric connections of defaulting consumers in Gandhi Nagar, Trikuta Nagar, Bathindi Sections and recovered outstanding arrears of Rs 1974042.
The JPDCL has appealed the general public to cooperate with the Department and restrict use of heating gadgets/room heaters, electric cooking appliances etc.
