RAMBAN, Feb 1: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Nazim Zai Khan, checking squad lead by Assistant Director (AD) FCS&CA Abdul Rashid comprising TSO Abdul Majid Wani and Legal Metrology Inspector besides officers and officials of concerned departments conducted market checking in Ramban town.
The team also checked the rates of mutton, chicken, fruits, vegetables, milk, LPG agencies and counters besides other eatables besides inspecting the quality of these commodities.
An amount of Rs 4500 as fine was recovered from erring traders.
Meantime, officers warned the unscrupulous traders to desist from using unfair trade practices, overcharging and stressed for maintaining sanitation and display of rate list and stickers. They also appealed to the consumers to remain vigilant while purchasing the commodities.
