Has China occupied Indian territory in Ladakh? Rahul asks Rajnath

NEW DELHI, June 9:
Continuing his attack on the NDA government on the border standoff with China in Ladakh, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday asked Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to answer whether the neighbouring country has occupied Indian territory in Ladakh.
Responding to comments by Rajnath Singh on Monday, Rahul, in a tweet, said, ”Once RM is done commenting on the hand symbol, can he answer: Have the Chinese occupied Indian territory in Ladakh?”
In another tweet, AICC media incharge Randeep Surjewala said that instead of denigrating the symbol of the Congress party, the Defence Minister should answer the question posed by Mr Rahul Gandhi.
”Denigrating Party Symbols of Opposition isn’t same as ‘Defending India’.
Will @rajnathsingh ji answer the simple question posed by Sh. Rahul Gandhi?,” Surjewala said.
In a tweet on Monday night, Rajnath Singh, responding in a poetic style to attack by Rahul on Amit Shah on the border issue.
“Haath main card ho to dava like. Haath hi jab dard ho to kya kije (When there is a pain in the hand then get treatment, but what should one do when the hand is the pain itself),” he tweeted.
‘Hand’ is the party symbol Indian National Congress (INC).
The couplet was authored by 20th-century poet Manzar Lakhnavi. Mr Singh improvised by replacing ‘heart’ with ‘hand’.
Rahul has been attacking the government regularly on the stand-off with China in eastern Ladakh.
Skirmishes between the soldiers of both sides were reported in the Pangong Lake region on May 5 and May 6.
