JAMMU, Sept 2: Questioning silence of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor administration towards ongoing agitation of daily wagers of Jal Shakti Department, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today said that ruling platform is itself creating a situation of chaos and unrest with people on ground are left in a tight spot due to closure of water supply schemes.
Mentioning the agitation of daily wagers, Aam Aadmi Party leaders while addressing a press conference, said that from last more than two months the daily wagers, need base workers and land donors in Jal Shakti Department are on protest across J&K and these workers are also raising their genuine demands that include release of pending wages, regularization which were promised by BJP and LG administration.
“They are not demanding anything which is not under this moon but their demands are genuine and part their right,” they said and questioned silence of both BJP leadership and LG administration on promises of regularization to these poor workers. They said all those BJP leaders are missing now and have maintained a complete silence and distance from this burning issue and it clearly establishes that BJP has befooled another batch of people.
The AAP leaders said LG administration is presently running the Government in J&K and this is failure of administration that a lot of Government workers supplying water are on protest from last more than two months and Government has failed even to convince them which shows callous approach of LG administration.
The agitation of these daily wagers has created a space and permanent employees of Department and engineering staff is unable to ensure proper functioning of water supply scheme in rural areas due to which there is scarcity of water supply and people are reeling under water crisis.
