JAMMU, Mar 6: An anti-ragging awareness program was organized today by the Institute of Dental Sciences (IDS), Sehora (Jammu).
The program was aimed to bring awareness among students and staff about the menace of ragging. During the program, the role of an institution in ensuring the safety of students at all times was highlighted.
Dr Rakesh Gupta, Principal, Indira Gandhi Government Dental College (IGGDC) Jammu and member of Dental Council of India was the chief guest for the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Sarbjeet Singh, Principal IDS Sehora stressed upon the suitable measures that have been adopted by the Institute to monitor the activities of students and ensure that zero tolerance policy is followed towards ragging.
He highlighted that Institute of Dental Sciences was established with the aim to create a model of academic brilliance and inculcating moral values amongst the students shall always be the prime concern of the institution.
Dr Rakesh Gupta further spoke on the various anti-ragging policies as per the laws and advised the students to be always respectful to each other.
Dr Bhavneet Kaur, Head of Department of Paediatric & Preventive Dentistry at IDS conducted the entire program.
