JAMMU, Aug 5: All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) organised a meeting of district Marg Darshaks here at Bantalab today.
The meeting was presided by a senior KP leader and ASKPC Marg Darshak, Moti Lal Malla. Some very important decisions were taken in this meeting with regard to community convention and ASKPC election process. The meeting said that ASKPC being the mother of all organisations needs to be revived and in this regard lot of ground work has been done. The meeting said holding of elections to the parent body is of paramount importance and entire community should come forward and take part in strengthening and giving a democratic character to this old body of KPs.
Those who attended this very important meeting were, Chaman Lal Dadroo, Marg Darshak district Anantnag, Bharat Bhushan Raina, Ravi Koul and Behari Lal Raina , Marg Darshaks from Kulgam District, Ashok Bhat, Marg Darshak, Pulwama, Satesh Qandhari and SL Bhat
Marg Darshak district Shopian, B B Gosani and Sunil Shanglu, Marg Darshak district Srinagar,
T N Raina, B K Dhar and Reshab Koul, Marg Darshak for district Ganderbal, S K Bhat and
Rajinder Bhat, Bandipora district Marg Darshaks, Basant Kumar and Ashok Kumar
Batergami, district Kupwara Marg Darshaks , R L Bhat from district Badgam and Marg Darshaks from district Baramulla, A K Bindroo and Opinder Lidhoo.
ASKPC Women Wing Marg Darshak, Shoki Lidhoo was also present in this meeting. From organization side M K Koul, Sundari Lal Koul and P K Raina attended the meeting while from ASKPC advisory team A K Raina was also present.
In his presidential address M L Malla laid stress on connecting with the common masses so their hopes vis a vis ASKPC may not die down. He also advised district Unit ASKPC heads to rope in community members from almost all villages and towns in their respective districts so as to give new ASKPC representative character in true sense.
