JAMMU, Sept 27: BJP candidate for Jammu North constituency, Sham Lal Sharma today claimed that BJP is poised to get a clear mandate to form its next Government in Jammu Kashmir with first ever Dogra Hindu Chief Minister, which was a long cherished demand and dream of people of this region.
“The long wait is over and after 8th October the BJP will fulfill the wishes of Jammuties,” he said.
Addressing a public gathering, Sham said that Congress, NC, PDP never voiced for the cause and welfare of Jammu people, but their politics remained focused on Kashmir valley only.
“It is BJP that not only registered concern about Jammu people but always advocated and fought for the welfare, equal justice and fair treatment with this region,” he said.
Sham said, “Congress, NC, PDP always discriminated against Jammu on all fronts and people continued to suffer for justice, but no one listened to their plight. These parties made all out efforts to undermine the rich Dogra culture, heritage and their sacrifices for the cause of the nation as well as Jammu Kashmir. Now the time has come when the people of this region will give them a befitting reply and elect an exclusive BJP headed Government.”
He further assured the people to fill the gap within a shortest possible time, adding that BJP after coming to power will give focused attention to the overall development of Jammu region for which it remained neglected for over seven decades.
Holding fully responsible to NC, Congress and PDP for the turmoil and bloodshed in Kashmir during the past over three decades, Sham said and added that these parties misled the people, made false promises and hollow slogans in the name of so-called Self Rule and Autonomy in Jammu Kashmir.
“Now onwards nobody will be buying their false promises and green pastures and they will face ugly defeats in the elections,” he asserted.
Sham urged the workers to step up their public outreach efforts, contact every individual voter to cast their votes for the BJP to ensure a peaceful, secured and prosperous Jammu Kashmir.
Among others who addressed the gatherings included Mandal Presidents Ravish Mengi, Suresh Khajuria, ex Corporators Sunita Gupta, Mohinder Kumar, Ashok Singh Manhas and Suraj Padha.
