Leh, Aug 22: The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Jammu Bench, held its second circuit sitting at the Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) Center, Melongthang, today.
Dr. Chhabilendra Roul, Member (A) CAT, Principal Bench, New Delhi, and Sanjeev Gupta, Member (Judl.), were welcomed by Shashi Kant Bhagat, Secretary Law and Justice, Union Territory of Ladakh. The proceedings were further supported by Raghu Mehta, Senior Central Government Counsel, who appeared physically before the Tribunal.
A total of 19 cases involving multiple departments of the Union Territory of Ladakh were listed before the Tribunal. The members heard each case with due diligence and patience, ensuring that justice is served.
The Law Officers of the concerned departments were also present at the sitting to provide necessary assistance to the counsel, demonstrating the administration’s commitment to addressing the legal matters of the region.
This circuit sitting marks a significant step in ensuring that the citizens of Ladakh have access to justice and that their legal concerns are addressed effectively within the Union.
