JAMMU, July 10: People hailed from various political and non-political organisations today condemned the Kathua terror attack that left five soldiers martyred and several others injured.
AICC General Secretary and Former J&K Congress President Ghulam Ahmad Mir today condemn the terrorist attacks on Army and Security Forces personnel and urged upon the Centre to take effective measures to restore a conducive atmosphere.
“The loss of Army and Security Forces personnel is extremely disturbing and highly condemnable,” he said.
In a statement issued, J&K State Committee CPI (M) condemned the terrorist attack and said, “The administration must introspect as to why such sad incidents are repeatedly occurring in the region. The Government must take effective measures against those involved in such heinous activities.”
Sham Lal Langar, Convenor of BJP Trade Cell, J&K, condemned the recent terror attack and said, “Such cowardly attacks by terrorists are a direct assault on our nation’s sovereignty and security. We stand in solidarity with the families of the martyred soldiers and extend our heartfelt condolences.”
State Youth Congress general secretary and spokesperson Rahul Tandon also condemned the terrorist attack in Kathua and demanded the Indian government to take strong action against Pakistan.
BJP Corporator Sahil Gupta from Bishnah today held a protest against the terror attack called it as an act of cowardice by Pakistan-based terrorists.
Locals led by Sahil Gupta and his team members, raised anti-Pakistan slogans. They also paid homage to the brave army personnel who sacrificed their lives for the nation.
The State Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) also expressed concern over the terrorist incidents occurring continuously in Jammu division and has demanded from the State government that effective steps should be taken to stop such attacks.
The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Jammu North president Rajat Singh Manhas condemns the recent terrorist attack in Kathua and said that this heinous act of violence, carried out by terrorists will not be tolerated. This act is a symbolic expression of our outrage and a call to action for our government to address these persistent threats with decisive measures.
Former Minister Dr Manohar Lal Sharma today condemn the Kathua terror attack and said that Jammu “becoming the centre of terror incidents” reflected the “strategic failure” of the Modi government and demanded that the Centre should take the country into confidence on steps it was taking to deal with the situation.
The residents of Jammu North Assembly segment also staged a protest against the recent terrorist attack. The protestors led by Uday Chib, General Secretary of the Indian Youth Congress raised anti-Pakistan slogans and demanded for stringent actions against terrorism and measures to safeguard the nation’s security.
