JAMMU, Aug 22: Central University of Jammu hosted the 7th International Conference on Recent Innovations in Computing (ICRIC-2024), organized by the Departments of Computer Science and Engineering and Computer Science and Information Technology.
This prestigious event brought together leading experts, researchers, and scholars from across the globe. With technical support from DRDO and J&K ACM, and Springer LNEE as the publication partner, the conference provided a platform for the presentation and discussion of cutting-edge research. Out of 254 submissions, 32 research papers were selected for publication, reflecting the high caliber of research presented.
Prof Sanjeev Jain, Vice Chancellor of CUJ, was the chief guest, while Prof Yashwant Singh, Registrar of CUJ, acted as the Principal General Chair.
The guest of honor, Dr Arun Manhas, Director of Industries & Commerce, J&K Government, offered valuable perspectives on emerging technologies, with a focus on computing and artificial intelligence.
The keynote address was delivered by eminent scholars including Prof Vir Bahadur Singh from JNU, Delhi, who discussed the technical aspects of emerging technologies and the development of models for open-source software.
International keynote speakers included Prof Mehdi Toloo from the Technical University of Ostrava, Czech Republic, spoke on “A Non-parametric Operational Analytics Approach: Data Envelopment Analysis,” and Prof Zdzislaw Polkowski from the Faculty of Technical Sciences, UJW, Poland, addressed on “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence in Shaping the Future of Logistics.”
Prof Dinesh Kumar, Head of the Departments of Computer Science & Engineering and Computer Science and Information Technology, delivered a welcome address.
The conference concluded with a vote of thanks and presentation of conference statistics by Dr Pradeep Singh, General Chair. The event was marked by the presence of many eminent speakers and session chairs, contributing to its success and impact on the field of computing.
