DODA, Aug 3: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, Harvinder Singh, inaugurated the Blind Cricket tournament under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan initiative from 3rd to 4th August 2024 at Sports Stadium Doda today.
The event was organized by the District Administration Doda in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department Doda.
The tournament aimed to promote a drug-free lifestyle while encouraging inclusivity and sportsmanship among differently-abled individuals. The initiative saw active participation and created a vibrant atmosphere, spreading the important message of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
Prominent attendees at the event included ASP Doda Shakeel ul Rehman, DSWO Doda Tariq Parvaiz, other officials and media persons.
Speaking at the inauguration, Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh remarked, “The Blind Cricket tournament under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan underscores our dedication to promoting a healthy, drug-free lifestyle and fostering a spirit of inclusivity through sports.
