JAMMU, May 4: In an ongoing commitment to raise awareness and promote understanding regarding the multifaceted issues of drug abuse and its repercussions, Delhi Public School Jammu conducted a dynamic two-day workshop on drug abuse, tailored for students of class XI and XII.
Under the auspices of the Narcotics Control Bureau, Jammu, the workshop welcomed Aakash Rai and Abhishek Sharma, Intelligence Officers from NCB Jammu, the Resource Persons. Their engaging sessions not only emphasized on the pivotal role of educational institutions in combating drug abuse but also on advocacy of healthy lifestyles among students.
The interactive nature of workshop facilitated open discussions, enabling students to grasp the profound consequences of drug abuse on individuals, families, communities, and the economy. Diving into the nuances, the experts elucidated on various drug classifications, their physiological and psychological effects, and the underlying factors contributing to substance abuse behaviours.
The workshop culminated with a resounding call to action, urging all stakeholders to synergize efforts in combating drug abuse. Through heightened awareness, collaborative initiatives, and evidence-based interventions, the collective endeavour aims to empower individuals towards healthier choices, thereby paving the way for a safer, drug-free future.
