JAMMU, Sept 14: Former general secretary of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) Jammu, Gaurav Gupta has issued a strong call for public support in assisting the armed forces to eliminate terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. Stressing the critical role that common citizens play in this effort, Gupta emphasized that public cooperation is essential for rooting out terrorism from the Union Territory (UT), which has long faced the menace of extremism.
In a statement released today, Gupta drew attention to Pakistan’s continuous efforts in fueling terror activities in the region. He acknowledged the immense sacrifices made by the Indian soldiers, who he described as “brave warriors safeguarding our motherland.” These men and women of the armed forces, Gupta noted, have been fighting relentlessly against terrorism and deserve the unwavering support of the entire nation.
“Pakistan has been engaging in a sustained campaign of spreading terror in J&K,” said Gupta, calling on the international community to hold the neighboring country accountable. “It is high time that Pakistan stops this nefarious activity and understands that India will not tolerate any threats to its sovereignty. The world must recognize the reality of Pakistan’s involvement in promoting terrorism on Indian soil,” he added.
Gupta further stressed that India stands united with its security forces. He reassured the country that it is prepared to back any strong and decisive actions necessary to neutralize the terror threats posed by Pakistan-sponsored groups. “The people of J&K, along with the entire nation, are fully behind our soldiers in their efforts to restore peace and stability in the region,” he stated.
In his call to action, Gupta urged the residents of J&K to remain vigilant and work closely with the security forces. He reminded the people that only through active cooperation and support can the menace of terrorism be eliminated from the region.
