JAMMU, July 25: All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) held a meeting under the chairmanship of B. K Raina here, today. President of the organisation, Desh Rattan Pandita while addressing the meeting said that Kashmiri Pandits are the real sufferers of cross border terrorism/militancy and KPs were forced to leave the Valley in the year 1889-90 and our movable and immovable property was either grabbed or razed to ground.
He said since then the displaced Kashmiri Pandits are wandering in different areas of country without having any permanent address. The families of displaced community thus has been divided and forced to live at two to three transit places.
He said displaced KPs have been raising their burning issues/demands but the Government at UT or at Centre has never taken serious note of them, instead they are busy in their appeasement policy.
General secretary, J. L. Raina, while briefing about the present scenario said that some people are trying to create confusion among community by false promises etc, as they don’t have any pain or sympathy for community people. All displaced KPs are informed to remain vigilant towards such people who use them for personal interests and mislead them on their permanent rehabilitation in the Valley when there is no concrete plan with the Government at present.
“We know that we are being ignored at every step and no attention is being given towards this hapless community but still we have confidence that the P M Modi will solve our problems, as he may be knowing each and every problem of this community and frame a viable policy for return and rehabilitation of displaced Pandits to their native land”, said Desh Rattan.
