NEW DELHI, Aug 11: Lethargic conditions persisted at the wholesale gur (jaggery) market in the national capital today as prices continued to trade at previous levels in the absence of any worthwhile moving factors.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also finished unchanged in thin trade.
Marketmen said sluggish demand in the off-season amid tight stocks on thin arrivals managed to keep gur prices unaltered.
Following are today’s rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,400-3,500, pedi Rs 3,500-3,600, dhayya Rs 3,600-3,700 and shakkar Rs 3,800-3,900.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,600-2,650, chakku Rs 3,100-3,200,
Khurpa NA and Ladoo NA.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,150-3,250 and dhayya NA. (PTI)
