UDHAMPUR, Aug 24: A 21- year old helper of Truck Driver drowned in Birma Nallah near the main bridge on Jammu-Udhampur highway , here this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Sajjad Ahmed, son of Mohamed Akram Bhat, resident of Sarsi, district Doda. While washing clothes in the Birma Nallah, he suddenly slipped into deep water and drowned.
Body of the deceased was fished out by a Police party, assisted by SDRF, and then shifted to District Hospital Udhampur for postmortem and other legal formalities. A case has also been registered in this connection.
