SRINAGAR, Aug 26: Apni Party president Altaf Bukhari urged party leaders and senior workers to maintain close connections with the masses in their respective areas through political and public outreach activities.
He emphasized that in democracy, the people are the true masters, as they have the right to choose their representatives. He advised his leaders and grassroots cadre to ensure that the public is well-informed about Apni Party’s pro-people agenda and policies. Bukhari made these remarks while addressing a public workers’ convention in north Kashmir’s Uri constituency today.
Bukhari strictly instructed his leaders and workers to refrain from personal attacks on political opponents during the election campaign.
He said, “We are in politics to serve the people. Our role is to inform them about our agenda, policies, and intentions for how we aim to serve them. The choice ultimately lies with the people; they are the true masters and have the right to elect their representatives. Let’s do our part and leave the rest to the people. We should avoid any form of aggression and refrain from personal attacks on our political opponents. This is not a battleground but an election campaign. Therefore, we must maintain our composure and uphold ethical standards at all times,” he added.
“I strongly believe that whatever the results of the forthcoming elections may be, they will be beneficial for us. Let us have faith in the Almighty and His decisions regarding us,” he added.
However, he strongly recommended party leaders and workers to remain active in their respective areas running their poll campaign.
Meanwhile, during his day-long visit to Uri, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari visited the various localities across Uri and engaged with the people.
