JAMMU, Sept 24: The ongoing Inter-District Division Level Cricket Competition, U-19 Boys here today entered into day 3 at Khel Goan in Nagrota.
The competition is being organised under the patronage of Director General Youth Services and Sports J&K, Rajinder Singh Tara under the guidance of Joint Director Youth Services and Sports Jammu, Ved Parkash and under the overall supervision of DYSSO Jammu, Sunil Kumar Sharma along with I/C DYSSO Jammu, Harvinder Kour.
The primary goal of this competition is to select the best talent for further participation in next competition coming ahead.
The competition is being conducted by the experts like Sandeepan Sharma, Sat Paul Singh, Vikram Dogra, Mukesh Kumar, Vishal Balotra, Chander Kiran, Ajay Koul, Manjeet Singh and other technical officials of the Department.
First match today was played between District Doda and District Udhampur in which District Udhampur beat Doda by 3 wickets. Highest scorer of Doda was Waseem who scored 33 runs in 14 balls.
Highest wicket taker of Doda was Ayush who took 2 wickets. District Doda scored 108 runs in 15 overs. Highest scorers of Udhampur were Jatin with 31 runs and Rithn with 23 runs.
Highest wicket taker of Udhampur was Roya Partap Singh who took 3 wickets.
Second match was played between District Kishtwar and District Ramban in which Ramban beat Kishtwar by 9 wickets. Kishtwar scored 90 runs in 15 overs and highest scorer of Kishtwar was Sheryar Mir with 19 runs in 20 balls.
Highest wicket taker of Kishtwar was Usman who took 2 wickets in 3 overs.
District Ramban scored 93 runs. Highest scorers of Ramban were Adnan with 41 runs in 36 balls and Nasir with 37 runs in 29 balls.
Man of the Match was Adnan of Ramban.
