JAMMU, Sept 25: The Inter District Division Level U-19 Boys Cricket Competition, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), continued for the fourth day at Khel Gaon, Nagrota, Jammu.
In the first semi-final, District Udhampur secured a spot in the final after defeating District Poonch by 7 wickets. District Poonch posted a total of 115 runs in 15 overs, with notable performances from Mohd Irshad, who scored 51 runs, and Mohd Asif, who added 42. However, Udhampur chased the target in 10.5 overs, thanks to Royal Partap’s impressive 67-run knock.
The second semi-final saw District Jammu triumph over District Ramban by 10 runs in a closely contested match. Jammu managed to score 81 runs in 15 overs, with Sujal and Aryan contributing key runs. Ramban, in response, fell short with 71 runs. Suresh from Ramban top-scored with 17 runs, while Nazir Ahmed claimed 5 wickets.
The final match will now be played between District Jammu and District Udhampur. The competition has provided a crucial platform for young cricketers to display their skills, with expert guidance from DYSS officials.
