JAMMU, Sept 17: Delegation of J&K ITI United Front, headed by its State president Nazir Ahmed Molvi along with others, held a meeting with Director Technical Education, J&K Anoo Malhotra, in her office chamber at Jammu and had detailed discussion on the long pending genuine demands.
The main demand, discussed in the meeting, was filling up/placement of Head of the Institution, including Principal-ITI, Jammu, Superintendent ITI Bani, ITI Sunderbani, ITI Reasi , ITI Banihal, ITI Ballesa, ITI Bhaddu / Billawar, ITI Gool, ITI Basohli, ITI Bhaderwah , ITI Doda (superannuating on 30-09-2018) in Jammu division and Principal ITI Baramulla, Superintendent ITI Hajin, ITI Kulgam, ITI Rohama, Women ITI Bemina, ITI Seer Hamdan, ITI Khuri Batpora, ITI Lalpora, ITI Gurez, ITI Handwara, ITI Rohama in Kashmir division.
The delegation demanded immediate placement of Supervisors / Group Instructor etc and holding of DPC meeting, both Gazetted and Non-Gazetted to clear the pending promotions and filling up the vacant posts of different categories / cadres viz: Incharge Vocational instructors/ Supervisors as well as ministerial staff.
Other demands included bringing Helpers on departmental hierarchy once for all at an earliest, engagement of faculty on academic arrangement, early decision on In-situ / Time bound promotions in the Directorate, release of final seniority list of all employees viz. state cadre / division cadre every year and change of nomenclature of V.I & G.I Posts.
Besides, the Front also stressed for better supervision of class and to bring about qualitative improvement in training and suggested that one post of Senior Training Officer be recommended on five units by DGT.
The director assured the delegation that all the demands were genuine and would be addressed at an earliest.
The Front delegation comprised of Naresh Sharma (vice-president), Karan Singh (general secretary), Rajinder Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Subash Sharma (Advisors), Hazji Parvez Iqbal (chief coordinator), Suman Bala and Pooja Uppal.
