JAMMU, Dec 7: Jammu and Kashmir were in command rather in the driver’s seat against Odisha as skipper Kanhaiya Wadhawan slammed a cracking century and Musaif Ajaz scored unbeaten 70, after the bowlers bundled the rival team out for a paltry total of 97 runs in their first innings at Ravenshaw University ground-1 Cuttack in Odisha.
Earlier, resuming from an overnight toal of 23/0, Odisha collapsed at meagre 97 runs. Sanket Behera and Aryaman Mishra contributed 25 and 20 runs to the total respectively. From J&K, Abhay Tandon took 4 wickets, Marutvan bagged 3 and Druv Singh Parmar claimed 2. Basit Bashir also took one wicket.
After gaining a decent first innings lead, Jammu and Kashmir were going great guns in the second essay at 217/3 as Kanhaiya (103) and Musaif (70) were at the crease on Day-2 today. Both the batsmen sent the rival bowlers on a leather-hunt. Jammu and Kashmir is now leading by 356 runs.
