JAMMU, Aug 29: A man has been arrested for raping minor girl.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged today by a minor girl with Police Station Kanachack stating that a person identified as Suraj Singh, son of Prem Singh of Rattanpur Tehsil Jourian District Jammu mistreated and raped her.
Medical examination of the victim was conducted and a case under FIR Number 138/2020 under section 376 IPC and 4 POCSO Act was registered at Police Station Kanachack viz hunt was launched to nab the rapist.
Two different teams from Police Station Kanachack was constituted, which arrested the accused from Akhnoor area.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police teams led by SHO Kanachack Inspector Ravi Singh Parihar and assisted by SI Mohammad Bashir made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul and SP Rural Suram Singh.
