JAMMU, Aug 12: One person died after he received electric shock here today, police said. They said Surjeet Singh (32) son of Gian Chand of Chori Panjaian, Majalta, Udhampur, suffered injuries after he received power shock under mysterious circumstances at Main Stop, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
He was immediately taken to Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, from where he was referred to Government Medical College Jammu where he was declared as dead on arrival, police said.
While the body of the deceased has been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting the post-mortem inquest proceedings have also been initiated at Gandhi Nagar Police Station to further probe the matter.
