RAMBAN, Sept 11: A mini-bus here today skidded off the road and entered a drain leaving the 15 passengers onboard injured.
Sources informed that the rashly driven vehicle of Metador make bearing registration number JK14B-4285 met with accident on Jammu-Srinagar Highway.
The ill fated vehicle was driven by Shakeeb, son of Abdul Qayoom, resident of Panla Maligam, Pogal Paristan and it was coming from Ukhral and moving towards Ramban in rash and negligent manner.
The injured were identified as Irfan Ahmed Chopan, 15, son of Abdul Aziz Chopan, resident of Mundkhal, Pogal Paristan; Ghulam Mohd, 70, son of Mohd Mukhtyar, resident of Panthyal; Ahmed Din, 45, son of Bobya, resident of Narad Maligam, Pogal Paristan; Bashir Ahmed, 55, son of Mohd Yousuf, resident of Narad Maligam, Pogal Paristan; Talab Hussain, 18, son of Mohd Ayoub, resident of Narthyal, Pogal Paristan; Layaqat Ali, 22, son of Ghulam Qader, resident of Narad Maligam; Asya Begum, 24, wife of Mudassar Ahmed Bali, resident of Chafkani Maligam, Pogal Paristan; Mudassar Ahmed Bali, 30, son of Mohd Sharief Bali, resident of Chafkani Maligam; Goli Devi, 50, wife of Pushori, resident of Bathli, Ramban; Javid Ahmed Chopan, 31, son of Farooq Ahmed Chopan, resident of Chafkani, Pogal Paristan; Surat Singh, 25, son of Phagmulla, Pogal Paristan; Shalla Devi, 43, wife of Kewal Singh, resident of Pogal; Bashir Ahmed, 40 , son of Amdoo, resident of Batroo, Pogal Paristan; Alima, 2.5, daughter of Musassar Ahmed Bali, resident of Chafkani, Pogal Paristan and Aditya Thakur, 18, son of Omesh Singh Bali, resident of Muthlal, Pogal Paristan.
All the injured were shifted to DH Ramban for further treatment while driver of the vehicle fled away from the spot.
Police has registered a case in this regard under relevant sections of law and started investigation.
