JAMMU, July 29: Mission Statehood Jammu Kashmir (MSJK) workers here today staged a protest demonstration under the leadership of Sunil Dimple, MSJK president.
The protesters were expressing resentment against PDD and PHE departments for faulty bills delivered to the consumers and flayed the PDD for long power cuts.
Addressing the protesters Sunil Dimple claimed that most of the transformers and jumpers in many Wards, even at Gladni Grid and Janipur were in defunct condition and were not working properly.
He alleged that due to power fluctuations many gadgets, fans, ACs, domestic electric appliances suffered damages.
Dimple demanded to return Salal, Uri, Rattle power projects and waiving off of power bills of poor families.
He said that in summer days the electricity curtailment has increased after the privatization of J&K PDD and installation of the smart meters.
Ashok Sharma, Rekha Devi, Koushlya, Rani Devi, Shakuntla, Poomam, Partap Singh, Vikram Singh, Sudershan Sharma, Rinku Sharma and many others were also present in the protest.
