JAMMU, Sept 29: The National Tennikoit Championship, featuring nearly 400 players and over 70 officials from more than 20 States and Union Territories, is set to commence from tomorrow at Green Field, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. The five-day event, organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Tennikoit Association (JKTA) in collaboration with the Tennikoit Federation of India (TFI), will run from September 30 to October 4.
Rajeev Sharma, President of both TFI and JKTA, stated that all preparations have been finalized. The championship aims to provide young players with an opportunity to gain national-level exposure and showcase their talent.
The opening ceremony, scheduled for 11:15 am on September 30, will be graced by Shakti Pathak, Director Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), as the chief guest. Mohammad Hanief, Chief Sports Officer of the J&K Sports Council, will attend as a special guest.
