RAMBAN, Sept 29: Police here today, under operation Sanjeevani and under the guidance of SSP Ramban, Kulbir Singh, foiled a narcotic smuggling bid.
Sources informed that during a naka checking, cops from Police Station Banihal apprehend one person and recovered 4 gm heroin like substance from him.
In this regard, an FIR with number 153/2024 U/S 8, 21, 22 of NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Banihal and investigation started.
The arrested person was identified as Muhammad Owis Gul, son of Ghulam Mohd Bhat, resident of Drangbal Pampore in Pulwama.
Last day one Aqib Gul, son of Ghulam Mohd Bhat, resident of Akad, Tehsil Mattan in Anantnag was arrested with four gram of heroin like substance in Banihal.
He was booked vide case in FIR number 151, under Sections 8/21/22 of NDPS Act at Police Station Banihal.
