BSP candidate withdraws, joins Cong

JAMMU, Sept 18: OBCs have expressed gratitude to the Congress Party for including all major demands of OBC communities in the election manifesto of J&K and said that only Congress Party under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi can do justice to them and all sections of people.
Addressing press conference here today, Madan Lal Chalotra, Chairman JKPCC OBC, Vijay Manhas ex-member OBC Board and others while welcoming Om Prakash who withdrew from the contest as BSP candidate in Udhampur West into the Congress Party, extended their heartfelt gratitude to Rahul Gandhi (Leader of Opposition), Mallikarjun Kharge (President Indian National Congress ), KC Venugopal (general secretary, AICC), Bharatsinh Solanki (AICC, Incharge J&K), Capt. Ajay Singh Yadav (Chairman OBC Dept. AICC), Manoj Yadav (Secretary AICC Incharge J&K), Tariq Hameed Karra (President J&K Pradesh Congress Committee), Tara Chand (Working president JKPCC ) for considering the demands of the OBC community in the Congress manifesto of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Their unwavering commitment to addressing needs of marginalized communities has opened new pathways for the empowerment and progress of OBC’s something we have striving for since Indian’s independence. This step marks a significant milestone in ensuring the rights and representation of OBCs, SCs, STs, and minorities in the region,” They added.
They extended special thanks to PCC president Tariq Hameed Karra, Chairman Manifesto Committee Prof. Saifu-ud-din Soz, Co-Chairman Ravinder Sharma senior vice president and chief spokesperson JKPCC and the National Manifesto Committee and other dedicated manifesto committee members for their understanding of our concerns and subsequent reflects leadership that prioritizes the welfare of the people.
Former secretary PCC (President Vishavkarma Sabha Udhampur) ex-member OBC Board Sunil Dutt OBC chairman Dist Kathua, Ishan Khokar Vishav Bandan Chadotra, expressed gratitude to the Congress party and its leadership for considering all our demands and including in the manifesto.
Om Parkash (ex-BDO ) BSP candidate from Udhampur West who withdrew from contest after going through Congress manifesto joined Congress today in presence of JKPCC senior vice president Ravinder Sharma, Vice president Ved Mahajan, general secretary Narinder Sharma, Mulkh Raj Bhamagi and others.
