JAMMU, Jan 4: Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, BJP State spokesperson on Kashmir affairs said that there is no question of backtracking on Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) despite opposition theatrics on it. He was addressing a press conference at Rajouri today in connection with the “Jan Jagran Abhiyan” on the issue of CAA.
Rajinder Gupta, president, BJP district Rajouri, Kuldeep Raj Gupta, senior leader and former vice chairman, J&K Pahari Advisory Board, Kaushal Gupta, Jasveer Singh, Ranjeet Tara, Rekha Sharma, Samreen Khan,-Sarpanch, Mamta Dutt, Vikram Singh Langeh and other activists of the party were present on the occasion.
He said that the opposition parties, extremist elements, Leftist lobbies, fundamentalist cronies and the communal forces have joined together to create an atmosphere of mistrust and anarchy in the country. In the garb of opposition to the CAA on flimsy and make-believe grounds, violence, hatred and canards are being spread to malign the leadership of the nation. Having failed miserably in the general elections and in the voting process in the Parliament, these forces are hell bent upon to disturb peace, tranquility and law & order in the country, he added.
He said the NDA and Government are determined to bring fundamental changes in the country which the people desire and deserve for the last a number of decades.
The leadership of the nation took a decisive action regarding the minority migrant-refugees of the three adjoining countries which are the declared Islamic nations i.e, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh. The vote in the Parliament in favour of the Bill to allow the minorities of these three nations, who are living as the persecuted and exterminated people of their nations due to the religious genocide and ethnic cleansing to register themselves as the genuine citizens of India is a historical step. This would also enable them, to get registered as the citizens of India at a national level.
Anyone and everyone who belong to the people of the Indian origin, and in particular those belonging to the Hindu fraternity living anywhere in the world treat India as their mother country and in case of any difficult situation, they look up to India. It is the paramount duty of the Indian State to accommodate all such people as the citizens of India. Chrungoo said, “we as a responsible nation cannot allow Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, Sikhs, Parsis and Christians who have been exterminated from these three  countries to rot in India”.
