JAMMU, Sept 26: All J&K PoJK-1947 Sharnarthi Intellectual Forum, has declared support in favour of BJP candidates for the J&K Assembly elections.
Talking to media-persons here today president of the Forum, Adv Amrik Singh declared support in favour of BJP and appealed to the Sikh community members to cast their vote in favour of BJP candidates.
While justifying his stand, Amrik Singh, who was flanked by other office bearers of the Forum, said that Modi Government reopened the Sikh genocide cases of 1984, which were thrown into the dust bin by the Congress led UPA Government. After hearing of these cases, ten criminals were sentenced to life imprisonment. Several other cases are under trial and the cases of accused- Jagdish Tytler and Lalit Maken have proved. The quantum of punishment in these cases is likely to be pronounced either death penalty or life imprisonment, Adv Amrik Singh claimed.
Forum leader further claimed that a landmark decision of declaring ‘Veer Bal Divas’ in the sweet memory of ‘Chhote Sahibzade’, sons of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the country, has been taken by the Modi Govt.
He further claimed that opening of Kartarpur Corridor Gurudwara, where Guru Nanak Dev Ji cultivated his land for 17 years in this territory falling in Pakistan could be possible with the efforts of Modi Government.
Moreover, Modi Government provided Rs 2000 crores relief package in favour of PoJK displaced persons of 1947. Under Ayushuman Scheme Rs 5 lakh health insurance has been provided to the citizens by BJP government. This government is also provided 5 kg ration to each member of BPL families in the country.
The Forum appealed to the people and Sikh voters in particular to support Dr Narinder Singh Raina, BJP candidate from Jammu South and other BJP candidates from different areas.
Senior office bearers of the Forum, Kuldeep Singh, Surjit Singh and Naseeb Singh were also present during conference.
